The longer I’ve been in this industry, the more I’ve come to recognize the support, opportunity, and privilege that has helped me get to where I am today. That privilege comes with responsibility, and one way I'm trying to hold that is by using the platform I’ve built to help communities who don’t always get the same visibility.

Starting this month, we at Westknits and Stephen & Penelope supporting a charitable organization that reflects the values we hold close. This month’s feature is Mama Cash.

Mama Cash is the world’s first international women’s fund, funding feminist movements for over 40 years. They’re proudly trans-inclusive and work intersectionally, resourcing collective action led by women, girls, trans, and intersex people around the world. They invest directly in grassroots movements to create lasting, structural change.

We know how much community and belonging matter, and we know that thriving communities need real resources behind them, not just goodwill.

At the end of July, a portion of all product and pattern sales from Stephen & Penelope and Westknits will go to Mama Cash to help fund and uplift feminist initiatives globally.
