This top-down shawl begins with two-color brioche followed by garter stitch short row rays. Increases at each edge and in the body of the shawl gradually shape the smooth semi-circle. The short row wedges form a cool crescendo effect until you each the border. The shawl concludes with a twisted rib smock stitch followed by a fluffy picot bind off.

I used Qing Fibre’s fingering weight Yak Singles yarn for the main color with their Melted Baby Suri for the cloudy contrast color. The large size is dramatic and fun to knit with the perfect blend of entertaining stitches and relaxing rows.
