This month’s Westknitter of the World is Rosemarie! Rosemarie is from a small town in the North-West of Germany and you can take a look at all her beautiful knitted masterpieces on Instagram as _r.w.hidden. 

Rosemarie knit her first Westknits project, Dotted Rays, five years ago and has been hooked on Stephen’s designs ever since. So far she has knit over seventy Westknits projects, some of which she loves to gift to family and friends. Out of the seventy Westknits projects she’s knit to date, her favourite designs are Triangle Parade and the Meandering Shawl, which she wears throughout the winter to keep warm and cosy. Rosemarie usually has several projects on the go at any one time. However when she is knitting YAL or MKAL shawls she gives them her undivided attention, making sure they are the only projects on her needles.

Rosemarie remembers her classmates being taught to knit at school when she was eight years old, but she was already a fast knitter so would help her classmates with their knitting techniques. Years later Rosemarie is a fast knitter in nearly every technique, with lots of projects and practice under her belt! Her favorite colour to knit with is yellow, in any shade, and her dream knitting destination is Amsterdam so that she can visit Stephen & Penelope in person. Rosemarie would love to stock up on her yarn stash for upcoming projects from all of the beautiful skeins available at Stephen & Penelope.
