This is a PDF knitting pattern.
This triangular shawl begins at the corner with an I-cord Tab Cast On. Increases at one edge shape the fabric with twisted ribbing. A smocked knitting stitch creates the beautiful, gathered texture throughout the design. Choose one color of fingering weight wool and hold it together with a coordinating color of lace weight mohair silk. I used West Wool Bicycle held together with Glowhair for a shimmering fluffy halo. The pattern includes video tutorials to help you cast on and work the smocked knitting technique. Instructions include a small and large size with tips to help you customize the size to work with any yardage amounts. Decreases shape the other half of the triangle, so save 50% of more of your yarn for the decreases to maximize the size of the shawl and ensure you don’t run out of yarn.
