Akimbo is a triangular shawl, starting at the neck edge with easy garter stitch and finishing with a graphic chevron pattern. The chevron section creates a scalloped border with crisp edges while a contrasting color adds a burst of visual interest. Written row by row instructions are provided in this pattern as well as a chart for the chevron colorwork section.

A different size can easily be achieved by choosing another yarn weight and/or needle size. The edges of this shawl tend to be tight, especially in Section 2 – Chevron. Maintain loose tension on the first stitch of each row so that the edges are flexible enough to stretch and block properly.
