  • This is a PDF knitting pattern.

This top-down semi-circular shawl features bands of slip stitches every other row for a woven effect. The horizontal ladders in the slip stitch pattern showcase variegated yarns beautifully! Yarn overs form the smooth arched shape and several increases before the garter stitch border create a subtle ruffled edge. The bound off edge features a little picot bind off. Choose two colors of fingering weight yarn in a variegated or speckled colorway and let the yarn shine!

Colorways - Red Fox & September

I use the Red Fox colorway for the beginning of the shawl until I ran out of one skein of yarn. Then, I used the September colorway for the final garter stitch border of the shawl. You can use 2 skeins of the same colorway for a cohesive fabric or select two similar colorways for a subtle shift in shade.

I recommend using variegated or speckled yarns for this shawl. The slip stitches are gorgeous with these multicolored hand dyed yarns!
