This top-down shawl is knit in two-color brioche stitch. The asymmetrical shape grows with increases at the edges and center. The columns swerve and shift direction towards the end of the shawl leading to a folded picot hem.

Sport or Fingering weight
The fluffy suri alpaca on the background is a bit thicker than fingering weight, but you can mix the weights. The suri alpaca forms a super frothy soft background to the smooth merino wool foreground columns.Yardage

You can change colors whenever you like. For a more gradual color transition, don’t change the MC & CC at the exact same time. You can stagger your color changes. For example, if you change your CC, wait 5-10 rows until your change your MC for a nice overlapping color effect.
