Each shape is framed with I-cord edges as the shapes grow from small to large triangles and parallelograms. You can use as many colors as you like for this graphic shawl.

For a smaller shawl, you could finish early after SECTION 11 - Triangle by break the yarn and pulling it through the last 3 sts at the end of SECTION 11.

Pattern Note
When picking up and knitting sts along an I-cord edge, pick up into the stitch that rolls toward the WS of the work. Pick up and knit both legs of each I-cord stitch.
