This top-down shawl is knitted with three colorways of fingering weight yarn faded from light to dark. The pattern begins with an I-cord cast on followed by easy garter stitch short rows. Yarn overs accentuate the short row gaps and accentuate the flowy drape of the fabric. A couple striped sections help blend the speckled colorways together for a seamless fade effect. The border features a fun jagged triangle pattern to frame the smooth shape. You can block the points of the shawl by soaking the shawl in water and stretching it with t-pins to exaggerate the large size. This garter stitch shawl is ideal for using singles skeins and it makes a great travel project with easy stitches and fun short rows.
