This is a PDF knitting pattern.
This aran weight hat features bold slip stitches to create the fun graphic effect. Begin with the ribbed brim and add a contrast color for the large honeycombs with a slipped seed stitch pattern filling the honeycomb shapes. I used De Rerum Natura’s aran weight wool called Cyrano. It’s very plush, soft, and woolly and it knits up super fast!

Finished Measurements
20” / 51cm brim circumference measured slightly stretched.
Shown on a 21.5” / 55cm head circumference. The hat comfortably stretches to fit up to a 23” / 58cm head circumference. For a larger hat, try going up a needle size.
Yarn
Aran weightThe samples were knit with De Rerum Natura Cyrano, which is a woolly and plush aran weight merino. It feels thicker than a standard worsted weight yarn. Select a yarn that has approximately 164yds / 150m per 100g skein.
You could also try holding 1 strand of DK weight yarn together with 1 strand of fingering weight yarn to get an aran weight gauge.
