    This hat is knitted in the round from the brim to the top of the hat with DK weight wool. I used one main color and five contrast color pops. You can use as many contrast colors as you like for a two-color version or a multi-color stashbusting hat. Twisted ribbing forms the folded hem for a double thick warm brim. Stranded colorwork decorates the body of the hat with a simple chevron and cross motif. You can use this hat a gauge swatch for the Lindu Peysa too! Play with colors and find the right needle size to achieve the recommended gauge of 24 stitches in stranded colorwork. Then, you confidently knit the matching sweater called Lindu Peysa next.

    Finished Measurements

    19 [21, 22.5]″ / 48 [53, 57]cm circumference. 8.5″ / 22cm tall. Measurements taken after blocking.

    Size 2 shown on a 22.5″ / 57cm head circumference. I recommended choosing a size that is approximately 1 – 2″ / 2.5 – 5cm less than your actual head circumference for a snug fit with negative ease.

    Needles
    US 5 / 3.75mm circular in 40″ / 100cm length or 2 sizes smaller than your main needle.
    US 7 / 4.5mm circular in 40″ / 100cm length or size needed to obtain gauge.
    Magic loop method is used for in the round.

    24 sts & 48 rnds = 4″ / 10cm in stranded colorwork after blocking with larger needles (US 7 / 4.5mm recommended)

    20 sts & 29 rnds = 4″ / 10cm in twisted ribbing after blocking using smaller needles (US 5 / 3.75mm recommended)
