The Marled Mania Hat has two layers for a thick warm winter hat. Create the first layer by knitting in the round with wide ribbing or honeycomb cables. Then, pick up stitches along the edge to knit another hat using 2 strands held together while fading your colors.
This speckled fade layer is ideal for using mini skeins or eating up those leftover bits of fingering weight yarn.
