  • This is a PDF knitting pattern.

Rockefeller was originally published as the second Westknits Mystery Shawl in 2012. It is worked in four sections. The first section features short row wedges that form a crescent. Stitches are picked up in the second section and worked in stockinette stitch with yarn over shaping. Garter stitch intarsia stripes decorate this section.

The bottom border in the third section is achieved with slipped stitches and finished with an I-cord bind off.

The final wing tips are easy garter stitch stripes with I-cord edges to finish the architecturally inspired shawl.

    Available in Japanese here.
This pattern is also available in Westknits Bestknits 3 - Shawl Evolution. If you download this pattern from the Westknits Bestknits e-book, the yarn and color information may be slightly altered to reflect the samples photographed in the book, but the instructions remain the same.
