This lightweight summery shawl features three contrasting colors of fingering weight yarn. Two of the colors are striped together for the 2-row garter stitch stripes and they are featured in the various slip stitch and lace patterns. The third color shown in light green is an accent color to highlight the geometric slip stitches and open eyelet sections. The pattern begins with an I-cord cast on followed by increases along each edge and a decrease in the middle of the fabric to form a chevron shape. The sideways construction produces and a beautiful flowing drape. The various stitch patterns overlap to create a colorful stitch collage when you wrap the shawl around your neck. Enjoy knitting this pattern with a soft wool like Ballyhoura’s 4ply Sock yarn.
