This month’s Westknitter of the World is Anita! Anita lives in Taipei, Taiwan and you can take a look at all of their beautiful knits on Instagram as hanhand_iknit and on Ravelry as anitakung.

Anita has knit over 32 wonderful Westknits projects. The first Westknits project they cast on was the Starflake shawl and Anita instantly fell in love with Westknits designs and couldn’t stop knitting. Although Anita has loved all of the Westknits projects they’ve stuck their needle into, their favorite is the Marled Magic Sweater. Anita isn’t drawn to one particular colour when knitting but listens to their mood and bases their palette around the project. Anita finds so much enjoyment in playing with different yarn textures and colors. Sometimes Anita finds herself waking up in the middle of the night with the urge to test a new colorway or cast on a new project after being inspired in a dream!

Anita never leaves home without taking their knitting projects and enjoys the bewildered and intrigued expressions from strangers who watch them knit in public; on an airplane, at the park, or on the beach. Anita's love and enthusiasm for knitting is reflected by the multiple projects (up to 10 WIPs) they have on the go at any one time. Anita is consistently motivated to improve their knitting skills and thoroughly explore the knitting world.
